State Congress pays tributes to Ahmed Patel

Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee President Dr. Rameshwar Oraon, Legislature Party Leader Alamgir Alam, Ministers in Jharkhand Government Badal, Banna Gupta, senior leader and former union minister Subodh Kant Sahay, MLA Pradeep Yadav, State Congress Committee spokespersons Alok Kumar Dubey, Lal Kishore Nath Shahdeo, Dr. Rajesh Gupta Chhotu alongwith others expressed deep sorrow and paid tributes on the demise of senior Congress leader, Congress's chief columnist, MP and All India Congress Committee treasurer Ahmed Patel.

A tribute meeting was organised at Bariatu residence of State Congress President Dr. Rameshwar Oraon, who is recuperating after Corona infection. A small number of people attended and paid homage to their late leader. The Congress leaders paid floral tributes on the portrait of Ahmed Patel and kept a silence of 2 minutes on the occasion.

Dr. Oraon termed it an irreparable loss for the entire country and said that hearing about the untimely demise of Patel Sahab was sad and distressing. “It is an irreparable loss for the country and the Congress party in this challenging difficult time. My deepest condolences to his family well-wishers and millions of workers across the country. The work that Ahmed Patel has done for the strengthening of the organization for nearly five decades, can never be forgotten.Because of his organizational ability, his loyalty to social service and honesty towards duty, everyone respected him,” said Oraon.

Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Subodh Kant Sahay said that he was deeply saddened with the demise of Patel. “For more than four decades Ahmed Bhai was the flag bearer of constructive and meaningful politics. He was a man of positive thinking and there are very few like him. RIP Ahmed Bhai,” tweeted Sahay.

Ministers in the State government Banna Gupta, Badal, MLAs Pradeep Yadav and others, Spokespersons Alok Kumar Dubey, Lal Kishore Nath Shahdeo, Dr. Rajesh Gupta Chhotu and others also paid rich tributes to the leader.
