Two nabbed with huge quantity of Gutka

Kolar police has nabbed two persons carrying tobacco products illegally in a car near Giridhar Parisar on Wednesday and seized 80 packets of Rajshree Gutka from their possession.

After receiving information of two persons carrying tobacco products in a car police team trapped the two and when the car was checked

The accused identified as Jateen Meena (19) and Vineet Singh (19). The accused were found violating the orders of lockdown and found carrying tobacco goods.

Action was taken as the police were informed that for the past few days people are involved in transporting and selling tobacco products and based on the information a team traced and arrested the accused.

The packed tobacco mouth fresheners of Rajshree were recovered from his possession which they were carrying in car bearing registration number MP04CH1543 which was seized by police.

Police said that in the action against the accused massive amount of tobacco products were recovered.

The recovered tobacco products were worth over Rs 40,000.After the investigation police have registered a case under sections 188, 269 and 270 of the IPC and section 51 of the Disaster Management Act.

The details of the two accused who are residents of Kolar would be investigated. The details of the accused regarding selling the goods to the retailers in the area and nearby areas is yet to be investigated. Police have started further investigation into the matter.
