CM cautions against rising corona virus cases in State

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that cases of Corona have been increasing in the State since  few days. Hence, all precautions related to Corona should be taken.

Masks should be used mandatorily, physical distancing should be maintained, hands should be washed repeatedly, and if there are any symptoms, treatment should be taken immediately. Even slight negligence may be disastrous.

Chouhan said that labourers of border areas should not seek work in other states, they will be provided employment in their villages under MNREGA. Lockdown will not be imposed so that economic activities are not affected in the state.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing Corona situation in all the districts through video conferencing from Mantralaya on Wednesday.

Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Prabhuram Chaudhary, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman, Additional Chief Secretary Home Rajesh Rajaura were present in the meeting.

Chouhan issued instructions that special precautions should be taken in Indore, Bhopal, Betul, Jabalpur, Chhindwara etc. due to increase in Corona cases in these districts. As many as 139 new cases have come in Indore, 70 in Bhopal, 15 in Betul, 14 in Jabalpur and 9 in Chhindwara. Positivity rate in Indore is 6.6 percent and Bhopal 4.5 percent.

Fairs in Pachmarhi, Betul, Chhindwara, Barwani and the districts adjoining Maharastra border have been postponed due to increase in Corona cases. Also, instructions have been given to take all kinds of precautions there.

Labourers from the border districts of Balaghat, Seoni, Betul etc. who go to Maharashtra for work every day, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan gave instructions to provide them work in their villages under MNREGA.

Chouhan directed that screening of people coming from Maharashtra should be conducted at the border of the state. Only Covid negative persons will be given admission in the state. 2270 active cases in the stateThe number of active Corona cases in the state has touched 2270. While 344 new cases of Corona have cropped up in the state, 223 patients have recovered. The states positivity rate has hiked to 2 percent.
