DGP launches trial run of e-Vivechna App of MP police

Director General of Police Vivek Johri on Friday launched the trial run of e-Vivechna App of Madhya Pradesh Police at Police Headquarters. Jointly developed by SCRB and MAP_IT this app would help in investigation of crimes by the police on the spot in a quick and easy manner.

Today a total of 92 officers of Bhopal and Indore districts were given training on e-Vivechna App and provided tablets at Police Headquarters Bhopal.

On this occasion, Additional Director General of Police, Chanchal Shekhar informed that through this app, information could be sent on the portal of the court in future. For trial run of e-Vivechna App, 1800 tablets are being distributed in 572 identified police stations of all the districts of Madhya Pradesh. In this tab, e-discovery app, MPeCop and CCTNS etc have been uploaded.

Time Stamping and Geo Stamping of important events and evidences of crime research will be done automatically with the development of e-discovery app which cannot be changed in future. Photos and videos of on-the-spot proceedings can be uploaded immediately through the app.

With the use of the tab, the proceedings will be completed on the spot by the investigator, the photo and videography of the incident site and other evidence can be included in the case diary in a protected manner. For the convenience of the interpreter, a case diary will also be written from Speech to Text, which will increase the speed of writing the case diary.

Apart from state during the investigation, investigator can put the investigation done there in the CCTNS through the tab in his police station.
