Munda lauds Union Budget 2021

The BJP has launched a drive making people aware of welfare schemes, efforts and provisions of the Union Budget 2021.  The State BJP unit in this connection today held a discussion programme on the budget 2021-22 at party office. The function budget pe charcha was attended by eminent personalities including professors, doctors, lawyers, chartered accountants, company secretaries among others.

Addressing the function, Union Tribal Affairs minister and chief guest of function Arjun Munda threw light on features of budget and also answered the budget related queries. Munda speaking on the occasion said that the budget reflects the sentiments of 130 crore Indians as the budget is not only the accounts of the income expenditure of the year but the development vision for next five years.

The budget is the new budget in the 75th year of independence with a new vision on India's new horizon. He said a meaningful initiative has been taken step-by -step without imposing tax burden. The Modi government has made efforts in this direction to increase the number of tax payers but not imposing new taxes.

Munda said that budget is based on six pillars, which include health and well-being, physical and financial capital, infrastructure, inclusive growth for aspiring India, energizing human capital and minimum government and maximum governance.

He said that a healthy nation can be imagined from healthy people, so the Modi government has increased the health budget by 137%. A provision of 35 thousand crores has been made for the corona vaccination, which provides comfort to the general public of the country.

It said that the five-year plan used to be a 50-year plan under the UPA regime whereas now the emphasis has been on completing the schemes within the time limit. He said that today basic plans are being launched on the ground rapidly.

Today, 29 km of national highways are being constructed every day, whereas in the UPA government this figure was 6 km per day.

He further said that European countries and America have not been able to recover from corona pandemic, but India has successfully checked the spread of pandemic and has even started immunization against corona. Not only India is also exporting corona vaccines to neighboring and friendly countries.

He said that the government is working in direction of developing agriculture and increasing income of farmers. There are efforts to double the income of farmers.

He said that emphasis has been given in education and research in the budget. Provision of 100 new Sainik Schools, Eklavya School for Tribal Students, University in Leh are some key

 steps.

Munda said that special emphasis has been laid on the construction of infrastructure in this budget. Provisions of Rs one lakh 18 thousand crore has been for highway projects, provision of running 20 thousand new buses, 1624 crore for merchant ships, along with urban water mission.

The program was conducted by general secretary Pradeep Verma and the vote of thanks was by Aditya Sahu.

 Convener of the program, State Treasurer Deepak Banka, State Vice President Gangotri Kujur,  spokesperson Misfiqa Hassan, State media incharge Shiv Pujan Pathak, co media in-charge Ashok Baraik among others were present at the meet.
