Student of HAU, Hisar selected in ISRO

Shivanshi Yadav, a student of the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar in Haryana, has been selected in Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to pursue post graduation.

She will pursue her post graduation degree in Geo-information Science and Earth Observation from Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), a unit of ISRO at Dehradun. It is a two-year programme under which she will complete first year study in ISRO and second year study from University of Twente (ITC), Netherlands

Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. B.R. Kamboj said that only 10 students from across the country have been selected for this course and Shivanshi is one of them. He said that this would inspire other students of the University as well and they would make efforts to continue their higher education from reputed Universities of the world.

He said that Shivanshi has found her way to ISRO by putting in continuous hard work.

Shivanshi hails from Khushpura village in Rewari district. She completed her secondary education from Rewari. After completing her senior secondary education from Jhajjar, she got admission in B-tech in HAU. Vijay Kumar, father of Shivanshi is working as Assistant Agricultural Engineer in Agriculture Department in Mewat while her mother Pushpa Yadav is a homemaker.
