Alka Nangia Arora, IDAS (91) has assumed the additional charge as the chairman cum managing director (CMD) of The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd (NSIC), on September 14, 2021.
On the occasion, she interacted with senior officers of NSIC and encouraged all employees to continue giving their best performance during 2021-22.
Arora is an industry veteran with over 30 years of experience in diverse activities across the country. She is serving as a joint secretary in the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and she has also served in major positions in organisations under Government of India such as the additional commissioner of Handicrafts, in the Ministry of Textiles, the MD of Cottage Emporium, and the integrated financial advisor to the Western Air Command (Subroto Park) and FA Army Hospital (R & R).
She has also served in various capacities with the Navy; as a financial advisor to the Naval Dockyard and the joint-controller of defence accounts in Mumbai and as an FA to the Eastern Command Army, Kolkata.
