Ground breaking of 805 MSME projects today

The third groundbreaking ceremony (GBC-3) scheduled to take place on Friday will see 805 projects of the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) sector coming on ground followed by 275 of agriculture and allied industries and 65 of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.

The other projects coming on ground include six related to education and worth Rs 1,183 crore, seven projects worth Rs 489 crore of dairy, and six of animal husbandry worth Rs 224 crore.

The state has the highest 90 lakh MSMEs — 14.2 per cent of the country. In the GBC-3, projects worth Rs 4,459 crore of MSMEs are being set up in the state. These included two in Agra, three in Aligarh, two in Amethi, one in Ayodhya, seven in Barabanki, two in Bareilly, one in Chandauli, one in Etawah, two in Fatehpur, one in Firozabad, 40 in Gautam Buddha Nagar, six in Gorakhpur, four in Hardoi, one in Hathras, one in Jaunpur, four in Kanpur Dehat, four in Kanpur Nagar, one in Lakhimpur Kheri, eight in Lucknow, 15 in Mathura, one in Meerut, one in Moradabad, one in Saharanpur, one in Shahjahanpur, one in Sitapur and two in Varanasi.

Similarly, there are 52 projects worth Rs 15,614 crore. There are 112 projects worth Rs 9,959 crore ranging from Rs 50 crore to Rs 200 crore. As many as 230 projects worth Rs 10 crore to Rs 50 crore account for a total investment of Rs 5,068 crore. As many as 972 projects of less than Rs 10 crore are worth Rs 2,757 crore and 11 projects are worth Rs 5,408 crore and support infrastructure.

Investment proposals worth Rs 80,000 crore are coming on the ground in the GBC 3. The projects to hit the ground include seven data centres worth Rs 19,928 crore, projects related to agriculture and allied industries worth Rs 11,297 crore, information technology (IT) and electronics projects worth Rs 7,876 crore, 13 infrastructure  projects worth Rs 6,632 crore, manufacturing sector projects  worth Rs 6,227 crore. handloom and textile projects worth Rs 5,642 crore, renewable energy projects worth Rs 4,782 crore, MSME projects worth Rs 4,459 crore, housing and commercial projects worth Rs 4,344 crore, Health Care  projects worth Rs 2,205 crore, defence sector projects worth Rs 1,774 crore, warehousing and logistics projects worth Rs 1,295 crore, education sector projects worth Rs 1183 crore, pharma and medical supplies projects worth Rs 1,088 crore, tourism and hospitality sector projects worth Rs  680 crore,, dairy projects worth Rs 489 crore, animal husbandry projects worth Rs 224 crore and a film project worth Rs 1,000 crore.
