The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) declared the Class 12 results for arts and commerce streams today. This year pass percentage has remained high despite the pandemic. While other boards have witnessed drop in pass percentage, however for Jharkhand board there has been a rise in pass percentage.
As many as 92.75% of students who took the commerce exam have passed while in arts stream 97.43% of students have cleared the JAC 12th examinations. The Jharkhand Board 12th science results too have been declared and that too was one of the best performances of JAC science students in recent years.
JAC 12th arts and commerce results were first scheduled to be out at 2:30 PM, however, after a delay, the result was finally announced around 4:30 PM. The results are available at jac.nic.in, jacresults.com and jharresults.nic.in. There was a rush of students to see the results, the site was slow with students having to wait for long hours to see the results. The last time when the 10th results were announced, the website crashed.
The students had to wait for long hours at an internet café to see the results. The biggest wait of students was in rural areas where the internet connectivity was less. More than two lakh students took the JAC Class 12 Arts and Commerce examination this year.
Thus, students need to know alternative websites, apps, and other routes to check marks. JAC 12th results will also be available at digilocker.gov.in as well as results.gov.in.
In order to clear the exams, students need to secure a minimum of 23 marks out of 70 marks paper and 33 marks out of 100 marks paper. Overall students need to score 33 percent to be passed in the JAC board exam 2022. Those who fail to match the passing criteria need not worry as they will have one more chance by appearing in compartment exams.
This year the Jharkhand Board held exams, as per the pre-pandemic practice. This might impact the pass percentage. Jharkhand Board will be releasing a merit list including names of toppers and marks obtained by them today. This will be the first time since the pandemic that the merit list will be out. The last time the Jharkhand Board merit list was issued was in 2019.
