Now a new system is being started for the tiny tots in government schools of Madhya Pradesh. For the first time in government schools, this academic session, pre primary classes will be started for the students who have attained the age of 4 years. An official of the Education Department said that till now government schools used to start from class 1, in view of the new education policy, now pre-primary school is also going to be started.
Dhan Raju, Director, State Education Center informed that in the first phase, 1415 schools in 5 districts have been selected to start pre-primary classes. In these classes, children of 4 to 5 years will be admitted in KG 1, while children of 5 to 6 years will be admitted in KG 2. He said that the schools would also be provided with the necessary material and infrastructure apart from additional funds.
4 hours school schedule will be fixed for KG 1 and KG 2 students Practice book prepared by experts has been sent to all schools. Children will come to school at 10:30 am and will go back home at 2:30 pm. The cleanliness and hygiene of the students will be checked daily after the morning assembly.
Children will also be taught about the importance of health and hygiene. The classes will have a period in which things like food, vegetables, fruits, water, jungle etc. will be taught through symbols. Students will be taught alphabets and numbers up to 100 letters, apart from storytelling, local songs and poems will also be taught.
