Punjab Chief Secretary Vijay Kumar Janjua on Friday asked the officers to ensure that the work under ‘Mera Ghar Mere Naam’ scheme in the State is completed at the earliest.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary was briefed about the progress of the scheme. He was apprised that drone mapping has been completed in more than 4,200 villages of the State and the work is going on in full swing in the remaining ones.
The Chief Secretary, reviewing the activities to be covered under the scheme, said that Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) device may be used in all districts for laal lakir demarcation to expedite the work.
He directed the Department of Rural Development and Panchayats to release the funds for DGPS to the districts. He said that no stone must be left unturned for completing this work on mission mode.
On highlighting the problem of honorarium to survey officers, it was decided to increase the honorarium of Survey Officers from the funds of Punjab Land Record Society (PLRS). He directed the PLRS to maintain the soft copy of records generated during the implementation of the scheme. Likewise, he said that the hard copy of the record generated during the scheme will remain under the concerned Patwari.
