The Chhattisgarh government has amended the Chhattisgarh Anadhikrit Vikas Ka Niyamitikaran Adhiniyam and ensured transparency as well as simplified rules to regularize unauthorized construction in the state.
An official communique on Sunday said that with its publication in the Gazette on July 14, the Act has become effective in the entire state.
Now applications are being taken under the new rules. This will help citizens to easily regularize their unauthorized construction.
Applications for the area under urban local bodies must be submitted in the Municipal Corporation and Municipality. Applications outside the purview of the municipal corporation and municipality but under the planning area must be submitted in the Town and Country Planning (TCP) office.
For this, the applicants have to attach house papers, photographs of the house, a map of the house made by the architect and a copy of the receipt of property tax or electricity bill along with the application.
