Chhattisgarh Tribal and Scheduled Castes Development Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam on Saturday said that children need to learn from achievers. Challenges must be overcome by making efforts.
He was felicitating 58 meritorious students from Prayas Residential Schools at the New Rest House premises here to mark the Martyr Veer Narayan Singh's Sacrifice Day.
He said talented children reap the reward of hard work. Others need to learn from them to face the challenges.
Many tribal students have got admission in top institutions of the country as they were given opportunities, he said.
Till now, the students have got admission in the Indian Institute of Technology (107), the National Institute of Technology (305), various engineering colleges (916) and medical colleges (47), he said.
The Minister handed over a cheque of Rs 50,000 each to students for procuring a laptop. He also inaugurated 32 construction works costing Rs. 72.83 crore to be undertaken in different educational institutions of the state.
