The Allahabad Management Association (AMA) in collaboration with the Shambhunath Institute of Engineering and Technology organised a management development programme at the conference hall of the college for the students of MBA, Pharmacy and Law. The distinguished speakers were Ravi Prakash, president, AMA, and Vibhav Bajpai, past president AMA. The theme of the event was ‘From campus to corporate- the changed scenario’. Vibhav Bajpai gave a presentation on effective communication skills. In his presentation he emphasised on the fact that communication is a vital link. One must have confidence in oneself and with right attitude and practice an effective communication skill can be developed. The second speaker Ravi Prakash, president AMA gave an in-depth presentation on employability skills. He emphasised that a degree and good marks are not sufficient to get a good job. One must have as many skills as possible and keep pace with the recent trends in recruitment. Virtual intelligence (VI ) will take a centre stage and man will work along with machines. More than 200 students had registered for the event. The programme was coordinated by Dr Shanti Chaudhri PRO, AMA, and was conducted by Dr Nameer Hasan of SIET. Dr Malay Tiwari conducted the programme.
