Globally renowned science educator Arthur Eisenkraft, Distinguished Professor of Physics and Director of the Centre of Science and Math in Context (COSMIC) at the University of Massachusetts Boston, will feature in the first of the Azim Premji University public lecture series for 2023 in an event to be held in Bhopal on January 7.
Eisenkraft will speak on "Sports on the moon", detailing the challenges in creating and adapting a sport that can be played on the moon and how this problem-based learning can improve science instruction.
A recipient of numerous awards for his teaching-related work, Eisenkraft also leads the Wipro Science Education Fellowship program in the USA, which is bringing district transformation through teacher leadership.
