Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the five pilgrimages related to the life of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, his birth-place Mhow, shiksha-bhoomi London, deeksha-bhoomi Nagpur, Mahaparinirvan-bhoomi Delhi and Chaitya-bhoomi Mumbai is being linked to the Mukhya Mantri Teerth- Darshan scheme.
A dharamshala with all facilities will be constructed in Mhow, for the convenience of the devotees coming to Mhow, the birthplace of Babasaheb Dr. Ambedkar. Chief Minister Chouhan was discussing with media representatives after planting saplings in the garden located in Shyamala Hills. Chief Minister Chouhan paid tribute to the architect of the Constitution, Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on his birth anniversary.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the memorial of Dr. Ambedkar has been built in Mhow by the state government. There was a demand for the construction of Dharamshala in Mhow for a long time. There was no proper arrangement for the stay of Baba Saheb’s followers who reach Mhow in large numbers every year.
The state government was trying to arrange the land. Now the No Objection Certificate has been received from the Army for three and a half acres of land. By giving this land on lease to Dr. Baba Saheb Memorial Committee, Dharamshala and other necessary arrangements will be made for the convenience of the devotees.
It may be noted that the state government has issued a notification regarding the inclusion of the Panch teerths (five pilgrimages) of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar in the Mukhyamantri Teerth-Darshan Yojana. From the notification issued by the Department of Religious Trust and Endowment on April 14, Ambedkar Janmasthali Mhow, Memorial at 10 King Henry's Road in Shiksha-Bhoomi London, Deeksha-Bhoomi-Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Library and Research Center Nagpur, Mahaparinirman Bhoomi - Dr. Ambedkar National Memorial New Delhi, Chaitya-Bhoomi Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Mumbai have been added to the Mukhyamantri Teerth-Darshan Yojana Rule 2012. In the notification, Sant Ravidas Temple Varanasi has also been included in the Teerth Darshan Yojana.
