A case of cheating of Rs 3 lakhs in the name of building material in Kamla Nagar area has been reported, vicitm's house is being constructed and for which he registered at IndiaMart for the iron bars and got cheated by Indore's Shiva Enterprises.
The fraudster asked to make full payment of the iron bar first which the victim made.
After a long time, the accused failed to send the bars, then the complainant asked for the return of money after which the accused stopped picking up the phone and later the victim approached the police station and filed a complaint.
SI Afsar Khan told that Jagdish Prasad Gautam's house is under construction at Suraj Nagar. He made his booking at India Mart on February 25 for the iron bars required for the house. After this, he got a call from Yuvraj Sharma, owner of Shiva Enterprises located in Vijay Nagar, Indore, for iron bars. After the rate was fixed, the matter of 5 tonnes of bars was fixed at Rs 3.06 lakh. Yuvraj assured delivering the goods after making full payment for the iron bars.
On this the victim agreed and made full payment in the bank account at different times. After this Yuvraj did not deliver the bars. After a long time, the complainant asked for his money back. On this, the accused first agreed to return but later stopped picking up the phone.
Police have registered a case of fraud and started investigating the complaint.
