Palamu MP commissions power sub station at Gandhipur

Palamu MP Vishnu Dayal Ram today commissioned the Rs 2.5 crore worth power sub station at Gandhipur under the Chainpur block in Palamu district. Amongst the august presence were the local BJP MLA Alok Chourasia and senior BJP leaders and Zila Parishad members namely Pramod Singh, Vibhakar Narain Pandey, Ram Lou Chourasia, Bheem Chourasia, Faizal Ahmad Zila Parishad member etc. 

The executive engineer electricity Daltonganj division Shambhu Nath Chowdhury who was present in the commissioning ceremony said "The Tata Power Ltd has built it. This power sub station was a long overdue."

The executive engineer electricity further said "This electricity infrastructure facility has come under the aegis of Jharkhand Sampurn Bijli Achhadit Yojna called JSBAY."

This Gandhipur power sub station has two feeders one is Pathra and the other is Purabdeeha. The power sub station is of 5 MVA, 33/11 KV. 

According to the executive engineer electricity Chowdhury  this Gandhipur power sub station will cater to the needs of electricity of as many as 40 villages. 30 villages will be catered to by the Pathra feeder while 10 villages by the Purabdeeha feeder. Earlier these villages were getting electricity from Semra power sub station said Chowdhury. 

Now, this Gandhipur power sub station will minimise the issue of low voltage, reduce frequency of breakdown, in the event of break down its early repair and setting right can be well assured reiterated Chowdhury. The Gandhipur power sub station may give a fillip to small scale industry in the region he opined. 

The executive engineer electricity added "There is a plan for an agricultural feeder here in times to come." "I make a very sincere appeal to my rural electricity consumers to avail of the electricity but when it is time to pay the electrify bill they should not dither its payment. They should be prompt in paying the bill." urged the executive engineer electricity. 

Choudhury said there are crores pending and this is no any happy sign. He said there are still 5 days to go when OTS facility will wind up. He said "I appeal to our electricity consumers to hurry up and pay their arrears where there is a guarantee of waiving of their DPS charges under the ongoing OTS. Take advantage of the OTS before it winds up."
