An International Conference on Post-Mortem Microbiology was organized by ESCMID-ESGFOR (European Society for Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases - Study Group on Forensic and Post-mortem Microbiology). It is the only Organisation on Forensic and Post-mortem Microbiology.
This Organisation had organized an International Conference on 1 st and 2 nd of March, 2023. Four presentations from the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, AIIMS, Bhopal were accepted for presentation in this International Conference. It is worthwhile to note that Junior Residents have made the oral presentations on Post-mortem Microbiology and an allied upcoming sub-speciality of Forensic Pathology. The presentations were much appreciated by the delegates attending the conference. Dr Mrinal Patnaik, presented, “A review of post-mortem microbiology in medico legal autopsy cases done at AIIMS Bhopal during 2017-2022â€. Prof (Dr Jayanthi Yadav), presented, “The Aetiology of Incidental Pleural Adhesions in Medico-legal Autopsiesâ€. Prof (Dr) Arneet Arora Presented “Leuconostoc mesenteroides detected at medico legal autopsy in a young femaleâ€.
