Samarth portal to reopen for admissions in colleges, State universities

 In a major relief to the students who could not get admissions in the colleges due to various reasons, the Higher Education department has decided to give one more chance to them to take admissions. The department will open the Samarth portal for seven days so that the students can take admissions. The Higher Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat has already given orders to the officers that the offline registration of the students who could not get admission should be done in their nearest college or university.

 In a meeting held at the residence of Rawat on Thursday, the minister directed the officers of the higher education department to give one last chance to the students who could not get admissions in the higher education institutes. He said that the result of the improvement examination of Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad was declared recently similarly many students who had cleared class XII this year failed to get admission in the central universities. He said that such students should be given a chance to take admission in the government colleges and State universities and for it the officers have been asked to start offline registration of such students. The minister said that the Samarth portal will open for one last time this year for a period of seven days so that the colleges and universities can upload the data of the students who were given offline registration in the colleges and universities. The meeting was attended by the additional secretary of Higher Education Ashish Srivastava, director CD Soontha, joint director Anand Singh Uniyal and others.
