Statue of Shankaracharya to be installed in Omkareshwar

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan told the ministers before the start of the Cabinet meeting in Mantralaya's meeting hall today that efforts are being made for cultural reawakening in state. Various efforts are being made to take our rich traditions, cultural specialties and Indian philosophy to the new generation.

Today is the Prakatya Diwas (manifestation day) of Adi Guru Shankaracharya ji, Ramanujacharya ji as well as Surdas ji. They were wonderful saints. Shankaracharya Ji did the work of uniting the nation from North to South and East to West from Rameshwaram to Badrinath. It is with this feeling that Ekatm Dham is being constructed in Omkareshwar. A huge statue of Shankaracharya Ji will also be installed here by August 15. Along with this Advait Sansthan will be constructed. CM Chouhan said that in this sequence the temple of Saint Ravidas ji is being constructed in Sagar. Jam Savli Hanuman Dham, Devi Lok in Salkanpur, Maa Pitambara Maai Lok in Datia, Ramraja Lok in Orchha are being constructed. Remembering the contribution of tribal heroes and revolutionaries along with saints and revolutionaries, their statues are being installed at various places to honour them.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the contribution of Raja Bhabhut Singh, who sacrificed his life for the freedom of the country in Satpura region, will also be brought to the fore. Renovation work of Kalagarhi will also be done. The CM said that along with the development of all sections, work is being done to promote social harmony. Efforts are being made for the welfare of all whether it is scheduled caste society or scheduled tribe class, backward class or general class. Initiatives like formation of Brahmin Board, encouragement to students studying Sanskrit, provision regarding security of land of temples, hike in honorarium for priests have also been taken in the state. The work of welfare of all classes is being done. While PESA rules were implemented on the principle of coordination and not conflict, Ambedkar Mahakumbh was organised in Mhow and Gwalior and Ravidas Jayanti was organised in Sagar.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi there are many initiative have taken in several areas. citizens of all sections participated in the Shobha Yatra (procession) in Bhopal recently on the Jayanti of Lord Parshuram. Citizens were given copies of Ramcharit Manas. Bhagwan Parshuram's Jayanti became a celebration of all classes. Large-scale public participation in such a programme is a symbol of social harmony. The same consciousness pervades all of us humans. The spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is boosting the prestige of India in the world.

Chief Minister Chouhan also mentioned the programme held in Rewa on Monday, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated. Prime Minister stood at his place for 10-15 minutes to watch the dance-drama "Dharti Kahe Pukar Ke" presented by the Culture Department in the programme along with the launch of various development schemes.

In this dance-drama, giving information about the damage caused by chemical fertilisers, an impressive presentation was given for the purpose of public awareness. CM Chouhan congratulated the Culture Department for this wonderful theatrical presentation.
