SRM alumni shine in powertrain component manufacturing
New Delhi: Eight years after graduating from the portals of SRM IST — India’s pre-eminent destination for higher learning in technology, management, science, arts, and medicine, and four years after launching their independent venture, a team of SRM alumni work on an innovative powertrain component is all set to revolutionise e-mobility sphere. Torus Robotics — started by M Vignesh, Vibhakar Senthil Kumar, and K.Abhi Vignesh - who graduated from SRM IST after specialising in Mechatronics, has designed and developed powertrain motors and components that are more powerful, and efficient. Their tireless work in design, development, and testing over the years with a single-minded devotion and focus has resulted in the company securing a seed investment of $ 4,70,000 during a round led by Tamil Nadu Infrastructure Fund Management Corporation (TNIFMC) under Tamil Nadu Emerging Sector Seed Fund (TNESEF).
