In an effort to boost the prospects of the Opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) candidates, Congress Party National president Mallikarjun Kharge and his party leader Rahul Gandhi will campaign in various Lok Sabha constituencies in Vidarbha region in the next two days.
Rahul Gandhi will address a public rally for MVA candidate Bhandara-Gondia Lok Sabha Constituency Dr. Prashant Yadavrao Padole at Sakoli in Bhandara district.
Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President Nana Patole, Legislative Congress Party Leader Balasaheb Thorat, Opposition Leader Vijay Wadettiwar, State Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Chandra Pawar) President Jayant Patil with leaders will be among those present at Friday’s rally.
Mallikarjun Kharge will address a public rally at 4 PM at Golibar Chowk in Nagpur on Sunday. This public meeting is being held to campaign for the Congress Party Lok Sabha candidate from Nagpur ikas Thakre.
Ahead of the rally, Kharge will visit Deekshabhoomi in Nagpur and pay homage to late B. R Ambedkar on the occasion of the latter’s birth anniversary.
In the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections, five constituencies in Vidarbha region -- Nagpur, Ramtek, Bhandara-Godia, Gadchiroli-Chimur and Chandrapur – are going to polls on April 19.
