Star campaigners of the Bharatiya Janta Party and Union Minister of Sports, Youth Affairs & Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur, on Wednesday joined the road show in support of MoS PMO Dr Jitendra Singh in Udhampur.

Enthusiastic BJP supporters took out a motorbike rally from Ambedkar Chowk in Udhampur. After passing through different markets in Udhampur the rally culminated in the local BJP office. The motorbikers were led by Anurag Thakur along with senior party leaders in the absence of Dr Jitendra Singh.

During the roadshow, Union Minister Anurag Thakur also took a brief ride.

He also listed out the achievements of the Narendra Modi-led Union government before seeking votes in support of Dr Singh. Without naming the congress candidate, Lal Singh, who recently rejoined the Congress, Anurag Thakur said on the one hand you have a candidate like Dr Jitendra Singh and on the other side you have a candidate who is out on bail and facing charges of corruption. Anurag Thakur said Dr Singh is aiming for a hattrick while his opponent is a turncoat and frequently shifting loyalties.

In Kathua, Congress candidate Lal Singh demonstrated his strength when filing the nomination papers.

Lal Singh took a vow in the presence of his supporters to expose all those leaders and political parties who took the people of Jammu and Kashmir for a ride and compounded the miseries of unemployed youth, businessmen, industrialists, farmers, and residents.
