Three pertinent principles hold the true essence of life: Good thoughts, good words and good deeds, said chief guest and convocation speaker for the day Tata Chemicals Ltd MD and CEO R Mukundan at the Tenth PG Convocation of XIM University here on Saturday.
On the occasion, the XIM University conferred an honorary doctoral degree upon Mukundan.
The numbers of students receiving degrees for doctoral and postgraduate programmes were six and 643, respectively.
XIM University Vice-Chancellor Fr Antony R Uvari, SJ in his report elaborated the achievements of the university in the past year. He expressed his appreciation and gratitude towards the State Government for their continuous support and guidance. Their involvement contributes significantly to the success and growth of the XIM University in nurturing future global leaders for tomorrow, he said.
The top rank holders across schools were felicitated with medals for academic excellence by the chief guest.
Among the eminent dignitaries present were XIM Board of Governors Chairman Fr Jerome Cutinha and Emeritus chairman Rajive Kaul.
XIM Dean Prof BS Misra welcomed the students, parents, dignitaries and guests.
