The Government of India has decided to provide direct benefits to the deprived population covered under 34 Central Schemes.
For this purpose, Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) program was started. Through the DBT programme, the government will provide final Transfers payments directly to beneficiaries' Aadhaar-linked bank accounts, thereby bypassing the existing system
Irregularities like payment of assistance amount into accounts and duplicate payment can be eliminated.

Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat, Indore, Sidharth Jain said that the MNREGA scheme is applicable for rural areas.
There is an important scheme to provide 100 days of employment in a year to the laborers in case of need of work, under which an average of 15 lakh days of employment is available every year to about 45000 workers in the Indore district.
To ensure continuous and correct wage payment to these workers, in Indore district 61287 bank accounts have been linked to Aadhaar Based Payment System (ABPS). 100%
Indore district stood first in the state by converting RIMCO accounts into Aadhaar based payment system.
Is. While in other districts of the state, 193515 accounts are still to be linked to the Aadhaar based payment system.
The total benefecearies are 19717 in District Panchayat Depalpur, 6376 in District Indore, 24591 in District Mhow, 10603 in Sanwer total 61287 in Indore district the MNREGA workers' through Aadhaar based payment system ABPS has been added. Under MNREGA, under Benefit Transfer DBT, the amount of wages will be transferred directly by the Central Government to
Individual. The beneficiaries will be able to get benefit from this.
CEO District Panchayat Indore Sidharth Jain said that the accounts of all MNREGA Labourers in the district now getting linked with Aadhaar payment system, the workers will be able to get regular payment of wages made under MNREGA.
And with this, the ambitious scheme sponsored by the Central Government will be utilized along with increasing transparency.
There will be no incidents of mismanagement and payment will be made into the accounts of actual workers only.
For this work, laborers will be recruited by village employment assistants of Panchayats by running a campaign in the district.
By making them present at the bank branch, their bank accounts were converted into Aadhaar linked DBT accounts.
