19 candidates file 21 nomination papers for the fourth phase

Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan has said that as per the election shedule of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, the process of filing nomination papers for the fourth phase is going on. For the fourth phase, on Wednesday, the sixth day, 19 candidates submitted 21 nomination papers. So far, 83 nomination papers have been filed by 58 candidates.

Chief Electoral Officer Rajan said that for the fourth phase, on April 24, on the sixth day, 1 nomination paper was filed by 1 candidate in Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency No. 21 Dewas (SC), 1 nomination paper by 1 candidate in No. 23 Mandsaur, 6 nomination papers by 5 candidates in No. 24 Ratlam (ST), 3 nomination papers by 3 candidates in No. 25 Dhar (ST), 5 nomination papers by 5 candidates in No. 26 Indore, 3 nomination papers by 2 candidates in No. 27 Khargone (SC) and 2 nomination papers were filed by 2 candidates in No. 28 Khandwa. No nomination papers were filed by any candidate today in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 22 Ujjain (SC) of the fourth phase.

Chief Electoral Officer Rajan said that the affidavits and other information of the candidates who have filed nomination papers can be seen on the website of the Election Commission of India at the link https://affidavit.eci.gov.in/. He said that the last date for filing nomination papers is Thursday, April 25. The nomination papers will be scrutinized the next day on Friday, April 26. Candidates who have filed nomination papers will be able to withdraw their names till Monday, April 29. Voting for the fourth phase will take place on Monday, May 13. Counting of votes in all phases will take place on Tuesday, June 4.
