DVC plus two high school, Bokaro Thermal organised the 65th Annual Athletic Meet here on Thursday at the school, the sports complex of the school.

The athletic meet is organised every year to promote physical fitness, foster teamwork, and provide a platform for students to showcase their athletic talents.

The 68th Annual Athletic Meet was inaugurated by General Manager S.Bhatacharya and special guest Dy General Manager B. G. Holkar. While the school principal delivered the welcome address and extended his best wishes to the participants. 

The oath-taking ceremony was then led by the General manager. The oath-taking ceremony in sports holds great significance as it symbolizes the values, principles, and spirit of fair play that are integral to the essence of sportsmanship.

The annual sports competition was held in four groups in which Senior Boys Group Albert karkatta, Senior Girls Group Riya Kumari and Sonali Kumari, Junior Boys Group Prince Kumar, Junior Girls Group Aliya parwin, became champion.  

All the track and field events were smoothly conducted under the supervision of Ramesh Kumar. While three external judges meticulously evaluated the performances of the participants to select the winners. After all the events were conducted, the winners were awarded prizes by chief guest and special guests S Bhattacharya and BG Holkar and all the participants were encouraged for their active participation.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Sukesh Prajapati and sports in-charge Ramesh Kumar.
