President, Pujya Puja Samiti of Manab Aadhikar Surakshya Mancha, Brahmapur, Banshidhar Bhuyan breathed his last at MKCG Medical College Hospital on March 23. He was 83.
He was well known in the city as very friendly, honest, religious minded and a great organiser. He was active member of many social and voluntary organisations like Dalapati Kriya Anusthan Committee, Manav Adhikar Surakhya Manch, Bijipur Regional Committee, Om Laughing Club, Probous Club, etc. On his sad demise, advocate Abani Gaya and locals of Bijipur as well as various organisations in Brahmapur expressed deep condolences.
After death both of his eyes were donated to MKCG Medical College, by his family members, to fulfil his wish. Dr Manash Oram and Dr Soumya Ranjan Dora successfully executed the eye donation process.
