The tussle within the Bahujan Samaj Party over issuing symbols to two candidates for Aonla Lok Sabha seat took a new turn on Monday when the party expelled the zonal coordinator and district president of Bareilly, accusing them of indulging in anti-party activities.
Omkar Katib of Mirganj has been made the Bareilly district president again.

Abid Ali and Satyaveer had got the BSP symbol from Aonla Lok Sabha seat. The controversy that arose after both of them got the party symbol was settled when Abid Ali was declared the party candidate after talks with party chief Mayawati.
In the viral video, the name of a party office-bearer is coming out and he is being held responsible for two people getting the party symbol in Aonla.
The dispute reached the district headquarters and on Monday, district president Rajiv Kumar was removed and the command of the party was given to Omkar Katib. Not only this, on the instructions of the party high command, zonal convener Brahma Swaroop Sagar and former district president Rajiv Kumar were expelled from the party.
BSP district president Omkar Katib said complaints were constantly being received against zonal convener Brahma Swaroop Sagar and district president Rajiv Kumar and they were also issued a warning by the party. He said even after this, when there was no improvement in their behaviour both were expelled on charges of indiscipline on the instructions of the party high command.
