Programmes like public meetings or processions are now prohibited .

Three significant constituencies – Rajnandgaon, Kanker and Mahasamund --will vote that day with 6,567 polling centers. Of these, 3,243 will be monitored through webcasting.

As many as 41 candidates are contesting: 38 men and three women. Fifteen candidates are contesting in Rajnandgaon, 17 in Mahasamund and nine in Kanker.

Only approved political advertisements will be allowed to be published during this time.

Chief Electoral Officer Reena Babasaheb Kangale said this is done to prevent the publication of misleading or malicious advertisements right before polling as it leaves affected parties without an opportunity to provide clarification.
