Efforts on to check fire incidents in future

After the fire accident in Ujjain Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple, effective efforts are being made to improve the fire fighting arrangements in the district.

Under the direction of Ujjain Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh, an action plan is being prepared to further strengthen the security measures and better management in Mahakal Temple. So that this type of fire accident does not happen again in future.

Collector Singh and Superintendent of Police Sharma are continuously inspecting the Mahakal temple and taking the opinion of experts.

On the initiative of the administration, forensic fire expert Mumbai Nilesh Ukunde reached Ujjain for a detailed investigation on the fire accident that occurred at Shri Mahakal Temple.

On Monday, Collector Singh held a meeting with fire expert Ukunde and informed him about the fire accident. He has asked the expert to quickly make a better action plan and give security suggestions.

A magisterial inquiry into the fire accident is also ongoing. Chief Executive Officer District Panchayat Mrinal Meena said that all aspects of the incident will be thoroughly investigated and a report will be given. It has been told that a preliminary report on important points found in the investigation will be submitted as soon as possible. Whose detailed investigation report will also be prepared. On which effective action can be taken.

Additional Collector Anukul Jain said that all the video footage of the accident is being thoroughly reviewed in connection with the investigation. Besides, statements of regular devotees, priests and temple committee employees are also being taken. Discussions are also being held with fire experts in this regard.

On Monday night, Ujjain Collector Singh and Superintendent of Police Sharma inspected the Mahakal temple closely. He gave strict instructions to the concerned officials to ensure that such fire accidents do not happen in future.

Regarding the upcoming Rang Panchami festival, he gave instructions that God should be worshiped in the temple on Rang Panchami as per the guidelines prescribed by the temple committee. Apart from the prescribed puja material, any kind of color, gulal or any material which has the potential to cause an accident will not be allowed to be taken into the temple.

Strict action should also be taken against those who violate the rules. He has also given instructions to ensure all necessary safety measures as a precautionary measure during the upcoming festivals.
