Haistorm, rains witnessed in Chhindwara

Hailstorm along with storm and rain in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh was witnessed on Tuesday evening, the wind was witnessed at 70 km per hour. The weather may change in the eastern part of the state in the next 24 hours.

According to the Meteorological Department, moderate storms with lightning may occur in Betul, Pandhurna, Seoni, Mandla, Dindori, Mauganj. Hail storm would also be witnessed. There may be light thundershowers along with lightning in Rewa, Satna's Chitrakoot, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Maihar, Umaria, Anuppur, Balaghat, Sidhi and Singrauli districts.

The Met has issued warning of hot nights in Sidhi and Damoh districts while thunderstorms and gusty winds with light rainfall in

Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Harda, Burhanpur, Barwani, Alrajpur, Jhabua, Indore, Udaipur, Dewas, Shajapur, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Shahdol, Umaria, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Patna, Damoh, Sagar and Maihar districts.

Madhya Pradesh is also affected by the strong system formed due to Western Disturbance, Cyclonic Circulation and Trough Line. There is a rain alert in 15 districts including Bhopal and Sehore on Tuesday. It has been raining in many districts of the state for the last 4 days, which will continue till April 25. Another system may become active from April 26. Due to this, rain is expected in the last week of April also.

Due to rain, the day temperature has dropped in many cities of the state. The mercury was recorded at 24 degrees in Malajkhand of Balaghat on Monday. Here the mercury dropped by 16 degrees in a single day. The temperature in Pachmarhi was 28.8 degrees. The mercury also remained below 34 degrees in Betul, Seoni, Chhindwara and Narmadapuram.

Talking about big cities, the temperature was 34.9 degrees in Bhopal, 34.1 degrees in Indore, 38.6 degrees in Gwalior, 35.6 degrees in Jabalpur and 36 degrees in Ujjain.

The mercury remained above 40 to 42 degrees in Nowgong, Sidhi, Narsinghpur, Khandwa and Khargone. The hottest was rabbit. The mercury here was recorded at 42.4 degrees.
