Sunday, 31 March 2024 | PNS | DEHRADUN

Stepping up the campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party candidates, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing a public rally in Rudrapur on April 2. The party’s national president JP Nadda is slated to address a public rally in Pithoragarh on April 3. The party’s State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan informed that the party has designated convenors for these two events. The BJP State general secretary Khilendra Chaudhry and cabinet minister Saurabh Bahuguna have been accorded the responsibility for PM Modi’s rally in Rudrapur. For Nadda’s rally on the next day in Pithoragarh, the party’s State general secretary Rajendra Bisht has been accorded the responsibility while general secretary Aditya Kothari has been accorded the responsibility of convenor for Nadda’s public rally on the same day in Vikasnagar. Chauhan further informed that the BJP national president will participate in a roadshow and a meeting with the religious fraternity in Haridwar on April 4. He BJP State vice president Kuldeep Kumar has been made the convenor for these events.

It is pertinent to mention here that the BJP has based its electoral pitch on Modi and the works done by the government under his leadership. Since, his personality appears to be the strongest point the BJP is relying upon, his addressing the public in Rudrapur is expected to further galvanise the election campaign in the State.
