Rains, thunderstorms witnessed in several districts of MP

A new spell of storm and rainfall commenced in Madhya Pradesh, due to

the active Western Disturbance. On Monday, there was rain and thunder in many districts including Bhopal and Raisen. There was rain and hailstorm for Dhar.

There are dense clouds in Indore. It also drizzled at some places. A child (5) died due to lightning in Kadwa Jhira village in Sendhwa of Barwani district. An injured woman is undergoing treatment at Sendhwa Civil Hospital.

The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in 17 districts including Jabalpur, Chhindwara in the next 24 hours.

IMD Bhopal said that there will be light rain with thunder in the state for the next 2 days. After this the weather will clear. There will be intense heat from April 25. In cities where the temperature is currently 40-42 degrees, it will reach 42 to 44 degrees.

The nights will also be warm. At the same time, the effect of humidity will also be visible. Light rain has been occurring in many districts for the last 3 days.

It rained in Bhopal on Monday morning. Roads were soaked due to rain in Char Imli, New Market, MP Nagar area. The city remained cloudy since morning. The weather department has predicted the weather to remain the same today. There will be clouds for the next 3 days.

During the last 24 hours, there was heavy and light rain in 51 cities and towns of 21 districts of the state. These include Bhopal, Chhindwara, Balaghat, Narsinghpur, Mandla, Jabalpur, Seoni, Betul, Raisen, Katni, Dindori, Vidisha, Narmadapuram, Guna, Barwani, Khargone, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Dewas, Sagar, Damoh and Anuppur districts. The highest rainfall was more than half an inch in Tamiya of Chhindwara and Pachmarhi of Narmadapuram. Water also fell in Barwah of Khargone. Electricity supply here was also affected due to changing weather.

According to the Meteorological Department, the wind speed was the highest in Jabalpur where wind at a speed of 52 km per hour was witnessed. Wind speed was 43 km per hour in Chhindwara, 41 km in Sehore, 38 km in Barwani, 37 km in Sagar, 36 km in Guna, 34 km in Khandwa, 32 km in Seoni and 30 km per hour in Balaghat.

According to the Meteorological Department, a Western Disturbance is currently active. Because of this there is a period of drizzle and storm. Similar weather will continue for the next 2 days.

In Betul, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Balaghat, Mandla and Dindori districts rainfall would be witnessed.

Many rainfall records were broken in April. About two and a half inches of rain fell in Bhopal. At the same time, a record has also been made that it rained for 11 consecutive days in April. There has been continuous rain in the state from April 7 to April 17. Now the state is getting drenched again.

Amidst the rain system, there was also an effect of intense heat in many cities on Sunday. Khandwa and Khargone were the hottest. The day temperature here was recorded above 42 degrees.

The mercury remained between 40 to 41 degrees in Narmadapuram, Malajkhand, Mandla, Narsinghpur, Khajuraho, Rewa and Sidhi.

Talking about big cities, mercury was recorded at 37.7 degrees in Bhopal, 37.1 degrees in Indore, 38.1 degrees in Gwalior, 38.7 degrees in Jabalpur and 37 degrees in Ujjain.

It is raining intermittently in many areas of Bhopal from Monday morning to afternoon. It has been cloudy at many places since morning. Roads were soaked due to rain in Char Imli, New Market, MP Nagar, Awadhpuri areas. The weather department has predicted the weather to remain the same today. There will be clouds for the next 3 days.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of rain with strong wind today. Such weather will occur due to the effect of Western Disturbance. Earlier it had rained on Sunday night also.
