Raipur Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh gave instructions on Monday to establish a police post at the AIIMS hospital to boost coordination in order to speed up the process of post mortem.
Reducing the number of pending cases is the top priority, he said at a meeting with the Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh and Health Department officials.
He also gave directions on how to set up a monitoring system to track progress.
Health department officials will have to complete the process within a specified time and update the information on the portal.
Post mortems will soon be conducted at the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital. Four doctors will be appointed for this, he said.
He also gave directions to expeditiously resolve compensation cases.
