SUCI announces nominees for LS, Assly polls

Saturday, 30 March 2024 | PNS | CUTTACK

Comrade Rajkishore Mallik from Cuttack Lok Sabha seat, Comrade Parmanand Sethi from Cuttack Sadar Assembly seat, Comrade Khageswar Sethi from Chaudwar Cuttack seat, Comrade Akshay Raul from Barbati Cuttack seat and Comrade Malvika Samal from Banki constituency will contest the 2024 simultaneous elections from the Central Committee of SUCI (Communist) Party.

Party's Cuttack district unit secretary Vishwasu Das announced this in a Press conference recently. The public is well aware that the SUCI (Communist) has been conducting continuous agitations against the anti-people policies and measures of the ruling parties at the Center and in the States.

The current general elections are being held in such a situation that the BJP and the BJD Governments in the Centre and State respectively are following the anti-people policies of the previous Congress Government and today the condition of the people at all levels of Odisha has become deplorable. Skyrocketing prices, unlimited unemployment, exploitation of private electricity companies, extreme anarchy in education and healthcare, crisis in the lives of farmers, thousands of homeless people, slum dwellers’ sufferings are ills afflicting the society. All the wealth of the country is rapidly disappearing into the hands of the very rich. Corruption has surpassed all previous records. Both the BJP and BJD are mired in a series of scams and scandals, Das said.

SUCI (Communist) Cuttack District Committee has appealed to the public to strengthen the struggle for the common man's interest in the State and to make the voice of the common man echo in the Parliament and the Legislative Assembly by voting the tested candidates in large numbers, he added.

District Committee members Basant Naik, Bobby Balbantarai, Siddharth Rath, Luckharvi Das, Vinod Sethi, Isha Dhar and Tarunsen Naik were present along with the Lok Sabha and Assembly candidates of the party.
