A number of tribal organisations today unanimously decided that for the last 10 years, the BJP government at the Center has failed to protect the water, forest and land of the tribals and the tribal society is angry against passing anti-tribal laws. Therefore, it was decided that in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the tribal society will vote for India Alliance and make the Ranchi Lok Sabha candidate win.
A joint meeting of representatives of various tribal organizations with the representatives of INDI Alliance was held under the chairmanship of Ajay Tirkey here on Friday. The meeting was conducted by Abhaybhut Kunwar.
On behalf of the INDI Alliance, a joint meeting was held with the representatives of Jharkhand in-charge of Congress party Ghulam Ahmed Mir, JPCC President Rajesh Thakur, Executive President Bandhu Tirkey, former minister Subodhkant Sahay, Ranchi Lok Sabha candidate Yashaswani Sahay, Ravindra Singh and tribal organizations Central Sarna Committee (Ajay Tirkey), Adivasi Lohra Samaj, Jai Adivasi Central Council, 12 Pahda Social Upliftment Institute, All India Adivasi Development Council, Central Sarna Sangharsh Samiti, Dharti Aaba Marang Gomke Jharkhand, Jeth Jatra Committee Karam Toli, Pahan Mahasangh Jharkhand Pradesh, Central Sarna Committee India, National Jai Adivasi Sarna Dharma Seva Kendra, social organization Adivasi Lohra Samaj, Bharat Jodo Abhiyan.
In the meeting, Jharkhand in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir said that today the constitution and democracy are in danger. BJP is working to divide the society. The demand for Sarna Dharma Code for nature-worshipping tribals was passed by the coalition government of the state and sent to the BJP government at the centre, but the BJP is trying to forcibly present Sarna as one and has kept the matter pending till date. Today the Congress party is going to give Panch Nyay-Twenty Five Guarantees, in which the right to reservation will be given to ST, SC, OBC by removing the 50 per cent limit through constitutional amendment. It will give legal rights to water, forest and land.
State President Rajesh Thakur said that during Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Jharkhand, he met the people of the tribal society and also listened to their problems. Talking about tribal justice, he said that there is a talk of share justice in Panch Nyay-Twenty Five Guarantees. In share justice, our land, our rule, wherever there are the most STs, PESA law will be implemented. The State President said that the BJP people call you Vanvasis and our leader Rahul ji calls you Adivasis, because you people are the real owners of this country. Therefore, we are also going to give legal guarantee of ST, SC sub-plan, in which ST, SC population will be more, they will be given more budget, more share.
Working President Bandhu Tirkey said that Congress has always worked in the interest of tribals. Congress gave the country CNT-SPT Act, Forest Rights Patta, Atrocity Act, Land Acquisition Act and since the BJP government has come, 48 percent ST, SC criminal cases have been registered. Today in Manipur, tribal women were paraded naked and tribals are being killed. In Madhya Pradesh, BJP leaders are urinating on the heads of tribals and the Modi government at the center is silent.
