Two burglars nabbed, stolen goods worth Rs 1 lakh recovered

Ayodhya Nagar Police arrested two miscreants and recovered goods worth about Rs 1 lakh rupees including an ice cream making machine.

During interrogation, two incidents of burglary in the area have come to light. Interrogation of the accused is expected to reveal many other incidents of theft and embezzlement.

Police station in-charge Mahesh Lillare said that Pawan Ahirwar (40) lives in Adharshila Colony Barkheda Pathani and works in a private company. The construction work of one of his houses located in slum crusher colony Ayodhya Nagar is going on.

On April 14, at around 7 pm, Pawan had locked his house and gone home. When he reached the next morning, the lock of his under construction house was found broken and 4 pieces of ice cream making machine kept inside, metal molds for making ice cream, 10 pieces of small and 10 pieces of big pipes and other items were missing.

A case was registered against unknown accused and investigation was started.

The police had registered a case of rape against unknown accused in this case. Different police teams were deployed to search for the accused.

On the basis of questioning of nearby people, footage from CCTV cameras and technical evidence, two suspects were detained. During interrogation, he admitted to stealing machines and molds and other items from the said under-construction house.

The police recovered the stolen goods at the behest of both of them. The names of the accused were given as Rohit Lodhi (21) and Akash alias Akku Kushwaha (20), both residents of Shukla Kresar Basti, Ayodhya Nagar.

During interrogation, it was revealed that two months ago the miscreants had attempted theft by breaking the lock of an abandoned house located in H Sector Ayodhya Nagar. In this matter, Lallu Prasad Patel had registered a case in the police station. A total of three crimes of theft and embezzlement are already registered against accused Rohit and three against Akku.
