Ulgulan rally meant to strengthen one family: BJP

Tuesday, 23 April 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

State BJP Spokesperson Pratul Shahdev today described the ‘Nyay Ulgulan Rally’ as a means of strengthening the family system. He said that during the entire rally, an attempt was made to project Kalpana Soren as the next leader by keeping her at the center. She remained sitting right in the center, while Chief Minister Champai Soren did not get a proper place on the stage as per his position. When the Chief Minister was given a chance to speak, no slogans were raised in his support and by that time the crowd had left the venue of the meeting. When Champai Soren's speech started, many big leaders came down from the stage and left. This is tantamount to insulting a tribal Chief Minister.

Pratul said that the people of INDI alliance, who talk about saving the Constitution, should tell why emergency was imposed in 1975 and why an attempt was made to tamper with the basic nature of the Constitution through the 42nd amendment in 1976? Through the 42nd Amendment, the powers of the High Court, Supreme Court and states were also taken away and given to the PMO. Later, the Supreme Court rejected its controversial issues.

Pratul said that on Sunday a bloody clash took place between hundreds of supporters of the alliance party at the rally of people talking about saving democracy. Dozens of heads were injured. Many had to be admitted to hospital. Pratul said that now the disappointed JMM and Congress are accusing BJP of creating ruckus. Whereas it is clear from the video footage that leaders and workers of Congress and RJD were beating each other.

He said that Basant Soren was seen inspecting Prabhat Tara ground a day before the rally, but remained completely missing on the day of the rally. It was reported in the media that only Kalpana Soren was to be projected from this rally. No other member of the Soren family was to be allowed to speak. Probably, for this reason he did not come and JMM was seen lying on this issue. On Sunday evening, JMM’s spokesperson said that he was serving food to the workers, who had come from Dumka at his house. On Monday afternoon another spokesperson said that he was dehydrated. Pratul also showed the video of both the spokespersons.

Pratul said that slogans of Shibu Soren, Hemant Soren, Kalpana Soren Zindabad were raised in the rally. But Jharkhand Mukti Morcha completely forgot Late Vinod Bihari Bihari, Late Nirmal Mahato and Late Durga Soren, who were among its founders, in the party.

Pratul said that whatever happened in the rally, be it the incident of fighting or the insult of Chief Minister Champai Soren, it shows the truth of the Parivaar Vaadi INDI alliance.
