Webcasting of all polling booths in State by 4D cameras

In the Lok Sabha elections 2024, webcasting will be done at all polling stations through 4D cameras. This webcasting is to be monitored at the level of the Chief Electoral Office, District Election Officer’s Office along with the Election Commission of India. In this time's polling, the feed from both inside and outside the polling station will be monitored at various levels, said Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand, K Ravi Kumar, while reviewing the preparations going on in the districts related to the elections through video conferencing with the nodal officers of the cell constituted for webcasting, GPS tracking and vehicle management in all the districts at the Election House on Wednesday.

He said that the vehicles engaged in polling work should be paid on time and freed from polling work. Officers of all districts should work in coordination with each other in the management of the vehicle. In case of any doubt, take a decision after discussing with the Vehicle Management Cell constituted at the headquarters. He said that while managing the vehicles, keep in mind that public transport should also be restored smoothly on the day of election. He reviewed the vehicle management regarding the work being done in the districts on subjects like food for drivers, advance payment to petrol pump owners, advance payment to vehicle owners etc. Also, directed to provide complete information of all these on the VMS portal.

The Chief Electoral Officer directed to monitor the vehicles carrying EVMs to various polling stations for voting by installing GPS and to remove the GPS only after the maintenance of EVMs in the maintenance house.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer Sandeep Singh, Joint Transport Commissioner Praveen Kumar Prakash along with officers and personnel of webcasting, GPS tracking and vehicle management cell constituted at headquarters and district level were present in the meeting.

Meanwhile, the #MainBhiElectionAmbassador hashtag campaign was trending by the office of Chief Electoral Officer Ravi Kumar. In this campaign, digital content of all the sweep programs was prepared at the level of all the District Electoral Officers, Deputy Electoral Officers, District Information Public Relations Officers and posted on their respective social media handles between 6 pm to 8 pm on May 7. Along with this, digital forms of voter awareness activities done by school children such as letters to their parents, posters etc. were also posted on social media from the social media handles of CBSE and ICSE schools.

During this, pictures of the sweep programs held so far in all the districts such as Prabhatpheri, Marathon etc. were also shared from social media handles. The campaign was successful due to the efforts made by all the districts under the leadership of the Chief Electoral Officer's office.

In this regard, the CEO thanked all the voters, officials, employees, social media influencers, media representatives, employees of the media cell formed in all the districts for the election. He said that in this successful campaign organised to motivate voters to vote in this great festival of democracy, lakhs of posts were made on various social media platforms. Such campaigns help in making voters connected with social media aware.
