A blood-stained body of a youth was found behind the Goudadei temple under the Adarsh police station in Boudh district on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Bibhisana Maharathy of Jamapali village.
It was suspected that the youth was hacked to death and later his body was dumped behind the temple.
According to sources, Bibhisana had left his house on Friday night for some personal work but did not return home for quite a long time. Worried over this, his family members launched a frantic search for him at all possible locations but in vain.
Some locals spotted Bibhisana dead in a pool of blood. His family identified the body.
On being informed, the Baghiapada police reached the spot and seized the body. Police registered an unnatural death (U/d) case in this connection and initiated a probe.
