Monday, 05 May 2025 | Parvesh Sharma | Gurugram

The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) is all set to revamp a key 2-km arterial road connecting Naurangpur with Rampura Chowk on the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway, also known as National Highway NH-48. The stretch is a major connecting point for residents in sectors 76, 78, 79, and 80 and will improve commuting once this revamp is completed.

This corridor of 5.6 kilometers will facilitate connectivity between the most important road networks near the millennium city-NH-48 & Pataudi. The project has an estimated cost of over Rs 41 crore. This road will lead to a reduced traffic situation in various sectors and micro-markets of Gurugram. Road expansion has always been a crucial factor for real estate growth. “A proposal for upgrading this stretch has been prepared. This proposal will be tabled before the Authority next week, and everything will be fined process of tendering will be initiated. Once operational, this will improve connectivity in sectors 76-80,” a senior GMDA official said.

Similarly, this expansion will lead to infrastructure development in various parts of the city, leading to a growth in the real estate lobby. The newly constructed stretch will ensure a faster link between NH 8 and Southern Peripheral Road (SPR), which also interfaces with Golf Course Extension Road.

The infrastructure development will make SPR and GCER magnets for home buyers and investors seeking an affluent lifestyle. Other sectors in Gurugram, like 76, 78, 79, and 80, will also benefit from this development. Surrounded by the greenery of the Aravalli range, Sector 80 is a recently flourishing real estate market. Over the past few years, the sector has witnessed new launches of residential projects by reputed developers. “The upgradation of the Naurangpur-Rampura Chowk road is a game-changer for Gurugram’s real estate landscape. With its expansion into a six-lane thoroughfare and an 84-meter right of way, GMDA is enhancing connectivity across key sectors like 76, 78, 79, and 80-further strengthening links to major corridors such as SPR and GCER. Sector 80 is fast emerging as a prime real estate hub, offering modern homebuyers a compelling mix of spacious residences, green living, and lifestyle-driven amenities.” Mohit Agarwal, Business Head, Conscient Infrastructure Pvt.
