CM Tractor Distribution Scheme restarts in State after two years

Friday, 27 June 2025 | PNS | Ranchi

After a gap of two years in Jharkhand, Chief Minister Tractor Distribution Scheme has started once again. Agricultural equipment worth Rs 4 crore was distributed under this scheme at Harivansh Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium located in Sports Village, Ranchi. This included distribution of big tractor, mini tractor, solar pump set, normal pump set and agricultural equipment. The participation of women's group among the beneficiaries of the scheme surprised everyone. Women have been given tractor training by the department.

The program organized by the Directorate of Land Conservation of the Department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation was inaugurated by departmental minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey. On this occasion, Tirkey said that the Chief Minister Tractor Distribution Scheme will prove to be a "milestone" in making the farmers of the state strong and making them businessmen instead of labourers. She said that ever since she took charge of the minister's post, the farmers of the village were demanding to start this scheme. Today it has been started.

The Minister advised the farmers to be alert and aware to take advantage of the department's scheme. Under this scheme, a subsidy of 50 per cent has been fixed by the government for big tractors, while the department has made a provision of 80 per cent subsidy for mini tractors. To take advantage of the scheme, the eligible beneficiary will have to pay the contribution in his escrow account. The minister warned the farmers against middlemen and said that middlemen have become active since the scheme was started. One should not fall prey to any type of phone call in the name of getting the scheme. No person should make online payment on the number mentioned by them. This needs to be told to the people of the village and the house, so that not even a single person of the state becomes a victim of fraud.

Tirkey said that many types of schemes are being run by the department in the state for farmers. So far 21 hundred beneficiaries have been covered under the Kisan Samridhi Yojana, while 8 thousand farmers are to be given the benefit of this scheme. With this scheme, the farmers' fields are being irrigated easily.

Addressing the program, Kanke MLA Suresh Baitha said that the Agriculture Minister is working in the interest of the farmers. The department is doing good work in the field of milk production, fish farming, cow distribution, poultry farming, duck farming. The Agriculture Minister has also started the scheme which was closed for the last two years. Beneficiaries can take advantage of the scheme on the basis of subsidy by the government. Wrong work will not be encouraged in this department.

From the stage, the benefits of the scheme were given to 32 beneficiaries of big tractors, 2 of mini tractors, 2 of solar pump sets and 55 of normal pump sets. On this occasion, Director of Land Conservation Department Ashok Samrat, Joint Secretary Ravi Shankar Vidyarthi, SAMTI Director Vikas Kumar, Executive Director RP Singh and the Land Conservation Officer of the district were present.
