CMPDI spreads message of conservation on WED

Manoj Kumar, CMD, CMPDI on the occasion of World Environment Day-2025, unfurled the CIL Environment flag at CMPDI (HQ), Ranchi and urged the employees to adopt sustainable practices it thier daily life.  Kumar then administered the Environmental pledge to the employees. Message of Chairman, CIL,  P.M. Prasad was read on this occasion.  Shankar Nagachari, Director (Tech./CRD);  Ajay Kumar, Director (Tech./P&D/RD&T), Smt. Roopali Gupta, President of Kasturi Mahila Sabha and other GMs/HoDs and employees of HQs and RI-III were present on this occasion.

 Kumar in his address said that, "World Environment Day 2025" calls us all to unite against global plastic pollution. With the theme "Ending Global Plastic Pollution," this year emphasizes urgent action at individual, community, national, and global levels. By adopting sustainable habits, supporting policy changes, and holding producers accountable, we can create a future where environmental responsibility is a way of life, not just a duty.

On this occasion, prizes were distributed to the winners of the various competitions organised like Extempore, Cooking, Painting and Poster designing, Short video competitions organised as a prelude to World Environment Day 2025. Thereafter, a plantation drive was organised in which senior Management and other officals of CMPDI planted saplings under the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" initiative.

CMPDI and all its Regional Institutes organised various awareness programs and competitions to sensitize employees & their family members about the environment, plastic pollution and sustainable development etc.
