Central Vice President of Tribal and Indigenous Janadhikar Manch cum former MLA candidate Vijay Shankar Nayak today said that the Hemant Soren led government is playing with the feelings of Dalit and tribal society by not showing interest in the problems.
Nayak was responding to the demand of the tribal society of removing the ramp from the fly over at the main gate of Siram Toli. He further said that it is a shame for the government that the tribal society is constantly coming out to seek solution of the issue. The effect of the movement is that Minister Chamra Linda and Khizari MLA Rajesh Kachhap also inspected the site, as well as the Executive Engineer of Ranchi Division of the Road Construction Department was called at the site and explained everything and was given instructions.
Linda and Kachhap met Chief Minister Hemant Soren and informed about the sentiments of the tribal society and assured to remove the ramp from the flyover at any cost by February 24, which has not yet happened. This proves that this government ignores the sentiments of tribal society.
Nayak further said that the government has described the announcement of the establishment of the Scheduled Castes Advisory Council on the lines of the Scheduled Tribes Advisory Council, which appears an eyewash for Dalit society.
He further said that for four years, Scheduled Castes Commission in Jharkhand has not been formed by the government, during the tenure of Raghuvar Das, its first president Shiv Pujan Ram was made, after the end of his tenure, the post of president has been vacant for four years, but till date, any action towards its formation has not been taken.
Due to non -formation of commission, exploitation of these classes in the state has increased the incidence of oppression and development has been blocked in all their areas and they are also being denied justice.
Nayak has requested the Chief Minister of the state to work to take personal interest in solving the problems of the Dalit tribal society, otherwise the results will not be good.
