Delhi Industries Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Wednesday chaired a review meeting with officers from the Industry Department, GNCTD to assess ongoing initiatives and policies aimed at sustainable industrial development. A key focus of the meeting was to minimise the environmental impact of industrial waste and ensure responsible waste management practices.

During the meeting, Sirsa emphasised the need for a structured approach to reviewing industrial projects. The minister informed that he will conduct a weekly meeting to ensure consistent monitoring and timely decision-making to accelerate the industrial development in capital. A detailed discussion was held on the new proposed industrial policy, including various incentives aimed at promoting sustainable industrial growth.

The minister underscored the importance of balancing industrial expansion with environmental conservation, highlighting measures to control pollution and improve waste management practices. The status of three ongoing Greenfield industrial projects was also reviewed. The minister further instructed officials to expedite necessary approvals and infrastructure development while maintaining strict environmental compliance.

Sirsa reiterated the government's commitment to job creation through industrial growth. He directed officials to implement policies that encourage new businesses, thereby generating employment opportunities for the people of Delhi. Additionally, the Minister stressed the need for the highest quality services in waste management, electricity supply, water availability, drainage systems, and road infrastructure for industrial zones. He emphasised that these essential services must be strengthened to ensure a smooth and sustainable industrial ecosystem.
