Odia documentary film Chitradev on legendary artist Baladev Maharatha was released at the Rastriya lailtkala Kendra here by eminent cine personality and President of Sangeet Natak Academy Sarat Pujari on June 22.
Those others present on the occasion included critic laltendu Rath, the film’s producer Meenaketanp Pattnaik and director Chintamani Biswal and vice-president of Artists association of Odisha Nigamananda Swain.
Noted senior artist Manas Ranjan Jena was conferred the Prof Byomakesh Mohanty Memorial Award for the year 2013 for his contribution to Odishan art society on the occasion of Shraddhanjali-2013, a visual tribute to Guru Prof Byomakesh Mohanty.
At this SAARC-level art exhibition, participants were from Afghanistan, Nepal, Sri lanka, Bangladesh and India.
