A seminar on cyber security under e-raksha campaign was launched at Sapphire International School by Cyber Peace Foundation (CPF) in association with Jharkhand police and National anti-hacking group on Tuesday.
Students and audiences were made aware on the recent trend of cyber crimes happening nowadays. The event aimed at increasing awareness on adopting effective measures for preventing cyber crime. A guideline was also given to the students to maintain cyber hygiene.and to achieve cyber peace globally.
DGP Rajeev Kumar, ADG CID, SN Pradhan, ex CTO, Vineet Kumar who is now the president CPF and Avinash Kumar, Secretary, CPF, addressed the students on how to conduct themselves in the cyber space and they were encouraged to share the issues with teachers, parents and concerned authorities so as to be safe and to negate the motive of cyber criminals. The speakers talked about the internet-of-things and the fact that near about 50 billion devices will be connected to internet by 2020 with a proportional increase in the cyber related issues.
The seminar included a painting competition on "e-raksha cyber security" theme wherein students actively participated in the competition. The campaign was successfully solemnized with the cooperation of the school administration.
