Medical students shine in JCECE 2015

The result of Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE) was declared on Friday wherein PCB (Medical group) Aditya Debuka was declared the State topper with 134 marks. Abhinay Kumar was the topper in PCM (Engineering) with 132 marks. But, he was unable to bag the State topper’s rank.

Even the Press releases issued by city’s top schools listed majority students qualifying for the medical group.

The marks of Aditya and Shareek were almost same. However, Aditya has scored more than Shareek in Chemistry and Biology subjects. Shareek and Rishabh were the second and third toppers in the Medical Group with 134 and 133.75 marks respectively.

Overall 49,777 students had appeared for the State joint examination on May 14 of which 15,583 examines were for Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) group while 34, 194 examines were for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) group.

The seat limit for students in the three premiere medical colleges will remain the same. Medical Council of India (MCI) has decided not to reduce the seats. “150 students will be admitted in RIMS for MBBS course. Similarly, 100 students each will be taken in MGM, Jamshedpur and PMCH, Dhanbad,” said Health Department Principal Secretary K Vidyasagar.

“No changes have been made in the seat limit of the top three medical colleges,” confirmed the Jitendra, the Private Secretary to Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi.

The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination board (JCECEB) conducts the entrance examination for candidates seeking admission into Engineering, Agriculture, Forestry, BVSc, and Animal Husbandry, Homeopathic, and Ayurvedic degree courses.

Among the students of Jawahar Vidya Mandir, Shyamali, Priyanshu has topped in the OBC Category and secured the fourth position in the Jharkhand Combined (Medical). Rashmi Singh has secured the 21 position. Prakriti Anand has secured the 170 position. Nandini Sinha got the 324 position.

Six students of Delhi Public School (DPS) namely Srijan Sinha, Ayush Bhaskar, Anupam, Nikita Surabhi, Ayush Badhani and Anant Prabhat have qualified for the Medical group of the same examination.
